We the undersigned Civil Society Organisations hereby welcome the initiative by Members of Parliament to organize themselves into a voice for action and debate on land issues in Uganda. This is a positive action given the centrality of land as a pillar for Human rights existence and an asset that people have for their social, economic and political transformation.

We commend the Government of Uganda for their efforts in promoting and protecting the land rights of the citizens of the country especially through the different policy legal framework and institutional frameworks. We particularly commend Parliament of Uganda for always endeavouring to articulate in Parliament the land issues affecting the Ugandans they represent.
