Nearly one out of three of us lives with food insecurity and malnutrition. But we see a future in which no one does. For every dollar amount you donate helps Food Rights Alliance enhance its efforts towards the right to food.
Donate TodayFood Rights Alliance undertakes systematic and steadfast actions geared towards inclusiveness, consciousness, responsiveness, collective action and competence building to address the critical gaps that increase vulnerability of women to poverty and hunger. Food Rights Alliance has made strategic effort to support women’s access to resources for agriculture and food security particularly as they carry the greater burden of food production. We have done this through the following ways below:
Spearheading the advocacy campaign for equitable women land rights through holding national dialogues, sensitization through radio programs, IEC materials, local level dialogues at sub-county level and mentoring WLR models among beneficiaries especially male beneficiaries.
These have included sessions in National Women’s Week celebrations and the 2nd National Women Land Rights Conference among others where issues of women’s rights to land and other production resources have been brought to the attention of policy makers, development partners, social political leaders, academia, and public influencers who are key in the nation’s social transformation.
Food Rights Alliance has made deliberate effort to enhance availability and accessibility of information on women’s access to equitable productive resources through simplifying and translating legal instruments that provide information and guidance on the legal provisions for realizing and securing their rights.

Food Rights Alliance has developed and facilitated the adoption of the farm planning model which has provided women within the household decision making power with the opportunity to jointly plan with their family their agricultural production and the use of proceeds from the produce. This has greatly reduced prevalence of social conflict that result from conflicting priorities over resources and proceeds.
