Focus:We are committed to building the capacity of all actors in the food system, including rights holders, duty bearers, and our alliance, to effectively fulfill their roles in ensuring food security.

Our focus is on both “software” (shifting mindsets, behaviors, and practices) and “hardware” (supporting with tools and technology where necessary).

To achieve this, we:

  • Strengthen FRA’s internal systems and structures to effectively manage and utilize resources
  • Expand and build the capacity of our membership to actively participate in our initiatives
  • Improve governance and leadership within FRA, including the staff and Board of Directors
  • Enhance policy analysis and advocacy skills across the alliance

Design and implement targeted capacity-building programs to promote sustainable food access and utilization for duty bearers and rights holders.
