How We Help

A world without hunger will never be achieved alone. Food Rights Alliance builds and strengthens strategic partnerships and alliances with other like-minded individuals, organizations, companies, policy makers, and media for collective action synergy. We help and equip individuals with skills for the future through awareness and education to achieve zero hunger and increase food production and income for farmers — especially women.

Advocacy and Campaigning

Under this strategic component, the alliance addresses it’s core business. We partner with governments and policymakers to advance effective and hunger-fighting solutions at different levels in order to bring about lasting change in the country.

Capacity Building and Performance

This strategic component is designed to address capacity gaps in the alliance and its memberships that impact negatively on performance. It develops leadership and governance of the alliance and build capacity in finance, administration, and human resources.

Knowledge Management Strategies

This component responds to the challenge of documentation, learning and reflection that faces civil society today. It supports the alliance and the membership to effectively generate, document, disseminate and use knowledge in pursuit of the right to food at the different levels.

Alliance Strategic Collaborations

We implement direct programmes with comparative advantage as Food Rights Alliance, draw on the expertise of other agencies and alliances through consortium arrangements and partnerships with both International and national agencies.

Human
Rights Based Approach

In this approach, Food Rights Alliance conceptualizes access to and consumption of safe healthy and nutritious diets not realized out of charity but as an outcome of efforts anchored on inclusive plans and policies generated through a participatory and transparent manner.
