Themes & Values

Our themes and values define our approach to creating secure spaces, amplifying mobile voices, and empowering food producers and consumers to shape policy directions.

Our Theme

Secure spaces, Mobile Voices, and power of Food Producers and Consumers to shape policy directions.

Our Values

1

Food first, everything later.

We are driven by a clear focus on eliminating hunger in line with the Country Zero Hunger Strategy and SDG 2 Zero Hunger.

2

Food sovereignty

We promote the right to healthy, culturally acceptable food produced through ecologically sound and sustainable methods, and people's right to define their own farming and food systems.

3

Food is the most precious and valuable item.

We believe food should not go to loss and waste when some people are dying due to lack of it.

4

Food is important, just as the means of its production.

We go the extra mile to support sustainable agriculture, equitable access to productive resources, and adaptation to climate change.

Our work is rooted in Proverbs 31:8–9

"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy."
